Emy given name is not DJ; it's Dominick. Due to a small mix-up at city hall, my full name ended up as Jacques Dominick on my birth certificate, but my parents used the nickname DJ.
My journey into filmmaking has a charming origin – it all began when I "borrowed" my father's VHS camera as a young child.
Ever since I was a little kid, I had this burning passion for storytelling. I was that imaginative dreamer who couldn't stand being lectured on how to do things – I preferred diving into the unknown and figuring it out on my own.
My love for crafting narratives led me to spend more time in the film club during high school than in actual classrooms. Back then, I knew I needed a camera to bring my stories to life, so I'd often create small movies or jump into film contests whenever I could.
Today, as I reflect on that rebellious, creative journey,

Fast forward a few years, and I find immense joy in declaring myself a filmmaker, crafting beautiful love stories on film and contributing to remarkable independent short films – dreams that have truly come to fruition. Yet, I can't help but acknowledge that if I had stuck to the conventional path, I wouldn't be in the deeply fulfilling place I find myself today.
As I sit here in Spain, my MacBook on my lap and my camera and drone charging, I gaze out over the sparkling Mediterranean Sea. In the distance, the lights of a small historic town twinkle against the evening sky. Being an elopement filmmaker is not just a job for me; it's a part of my own story. I feel incredibly grateful that I get to help others tell their unique love stories and turn their elopement dreams into reality.

There's nothing quite like the thrill of exploring the woods, finding new paths, and embracing the adventure. Additionally, I've conquered the 21k of the Strong Men Run and adore embarking on adventurous trail runs.
Water Enthusiast: Water has always been a major passion of mine, and I've spent a significant amount of time on or in it. I dedicated 8 years to training with the rescue brigade (similar to lifeguards), honing my skills in water safety and rescue operations. Additionally, I am certified to sail a motorized boat, hold a CWO certificate, and frequently immerse myself beneath the surface to capture stunning footage with my specialized underwater housing.
Dog Lover: Dogs have always been dear to me; I used to walk them for pocket money as a child, and grew up in a household where they were a constant presence. Now, I have a dog named Kailash, named after the Himalayan mountain I hope to visit one day - and yes, I plan to take Kailash (the dog) to Kailash (the mountain) with me.
French authenticity: I'm drawn to authenticity. I drive an old French Citroen 2CV (1982), restored with love alongside my father. And, with my parents and boyfriend, we're fixing up our Citroen HY (1977) camper, creating memories together.

Even though I am newer to elopements I have broad wedding experience and I am ready to go on this journey with you.
